MIT Academy Named as "One of America's Best"!

For the third consecutive year MIT Academy has been named by U.S. News and World Report as "One of America's Best High Schools." This prestigious award, which is awarded to the top 10% of American high schools, is based on academic achievement, graduation rate, and college-going percentage.

Vallejo Middle School Mare Island Technology Academy Awarded National “Schools to Watch / Taking Center Stage” Model School Status

The California League of Schools (CLS), State Superintendent of Public Instruction, and the California Middle Grades Alliance this week announced that 11 high-performing California middle schools have been newly designated as model middle grades schools in the 2016–17 Schools to Watch™ / Taking Center Stage program, which includes Vallejo’s charter middle school Mare Island Technology Academy.

MIT Academy Receives Rave WASC Reviews!

The Western Association of Schools and Colleges ("WASC") completed their 4-day accreditation visit on March 15th, and MIT Academy received rave reviews for students, staff, and programs. And though the WASC team also saw room for growth, their conclusions matched very closely those the MIT community had identified during its own self study.

Parents, as part of the new construction at Everest, we have new security fences along Mini Drive that will help keep unauthorized trespassers off the MIT campus. The new fences run from Omega all the way around the corner next to Widenmann Elementary, up to the baseball field. These fences will enhance security and prevent trespassers from using the Everest facility (and Omega) as a short cut, which has been a significant MIT security problem. And while this new addition will significantly improve campus security, students and parents should be aware of the following:
