Jaime Guzman joined the Board as Treasurer in 2008 while his children were still attending MIT Academy. Since then, both kids have graduated from MIT and are now attending college. He has continued serving on the Board of Directors in hopes of seeing a positive change in the school’s infrastructure and overall success.
Jaime is originally from Colombia and enjoys representing the Latino community on the Board. He has been working in the accounting field for over 20 years where he enjoys reconciling and analyzing accounts for various companies. Jaime received his junior accounting certification from Heald College and went to California State University, East Bay to pursue his accounting career. He currently works for the Solano County Health Social Services as an Accounting Clerk.
His interests include participating and volunteering in his community. Jaime was involved in Participatory Budgeting Vallejo where he served as a Budget Delegate in which he represented two of the winning projects. His hobbies include sightseeing, hiking, and spoiling his cat.
